Spend some time this summer with a creative art class. Mixed Media Collage! No experience necessary. All supplies provided. Learn basic mixed media collage and painting techniques with the "Put a Bird on It" theme. Student will work with 1 sheet of watercolor paper and 1 sheet of illustration board (and are welcome to bring a canvas or wood panel too!) learn how to glue assorted weights of paper using acrylic soft gel and then delve into the magical world of layering with acrylic paint washes and even some simple stenciling techniques. Students will also work with words to handwrite, rubber stamp or collage a phrase on their art.
A fun Seattle class for total beginners, but also a great intermediate class for students who want to try some different techniques and explore layout and color with lots of individualized instruction. Work with the bird theme, or choose your own design or keep it abstract. There are no mistakes in this class!
